The perfect summer day...

Family; good friends; sunshine; sprinklers; grilling out; a cold beer; watermelon; and trying to help your kiddo catch lightning bugs at dusk.

What more could a girl ask for?

USS New York

I recieved this in an e-mail and thought it was so neat!

GREAT NEW PHOTOS
As you scroll down, notice the two twin towers on top.

Here SHE is, the USS New York, made from the World Trade Center !

USS New York It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center ..
It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft.
Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite , LA to cast the ship's bow section. When it was poured into the molds on Sept 9, 2003, 'those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence,' recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there. 'It was a spiritual moment for everybody there.' Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the trade center steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the 'hair on my neck stood up.' 'It had a big meaning to it for all of us,' he said. 'They knocked us down. They can't keep us down. We're going to be back.'

The ship's motto? 'Never Forget'

ANOTHER package today! Jackson is LOVING it. Granny sent him a St. Louis Cardinals jersey!! Pujols! He was SOO excited. Again, the pictures speak louder than words! Thank you so much Granny!!

All he kept screaming was "ITS BASEBALL STUFF!! ITS BASEBALL STUFF!!""A JERSEY!! IT HAS BUTTONS!!"PUJOLS!
Then he HAD to go put on his baseball pants...
And we were playing pretend baseball for a while!

Granny thank you also for Josh and I's shirts! I love 'em! And I know Josh definitely will! THANK YOU! I'm glad you had fun at the game!!

Monkey Butt and Chicken Poop ;)

Jackson just recieved the most HILARIOUS package from Bill. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Thank you Bill!

I'm so proud of my hubby!!

HE GOT THE JOB!!

He is now employed at TN Wine and Spirits. We are so excited! We will be staying here in TN afterall...which we are definitely ok with. I have a job here that I LOVE and I will also be able to finish school (finally!). Jackson and I get our Daddy back on the weekends. His hours are Mon-Thurs 7:30-4:30, and then on Fridays 7:30-1:30. And he will finally get to attend church with us on Sundays!!

He gave his 2 weeks at the railroad yesterday. While he is ready to move on, we are both VERY thankful for the railroad job. Its the job that allowed Josh to move here to TN to be with us. Its the job that got us through our first year of marriage (can you believe its already been almost a year?!). We are very thankful that Josh had the opportunity to work there. Its been good!!

This whole situation is just another example that God definitely knows what he's doing...even when we don't!! THANK GOD! :)

We are SO excited!!!

Wiiiiiiiiiiii

Jackson has a new love...the Wii. And he's pretty good at it too. Now I know why my mother always called it the idiot box though. I never thought I was going to have to put a time limit for my 3 year old playing video games...Never say never.
